The S.A.N.T.A. program is a non profit community based gift giving program for families who do not have the resources to buy gifts for their children for Christmas.
Each year since 1992 a large group of dedicated volunteers have sought donations and organized a huge toy giveaway offering families up to two quality gift choices per child, books, a stuffed stocking, and a stuffed toy along with the option of gift wrap.
The vision of the S.A.N.T.A. program is to help all families in need make the holidays a special time for their children.
The toy giveaway is held each year on the Saturday before Christmas, at Veneta Elementary School.
In 2015 we served 585 children from 220 families. 74 families and 170 children were new to the program.
If you would like to give to the S.A.N.T.A. program, we welcome new toys, clothes, and electronics as gifts.
Monetary donations are 100% tax deductible. Contact Alice Nichols at 541.935.3282 for more information.
Eligibility for the S.A.N.T.A. program is as follows:
- Families must live in the Fern Ridge or CAL (Crow/Applegate/Lorane) School District
- Proof of residency must be provided (May be driver’s license or current bill with date, name, and home address.)
- Proof of number of children living at home, birth thru 17 years old (Social security cards and/or medical cards, birth certificates: school report cards for each child, etc.)
